SUPPORT
Prickly Pear Land Trust connects land and people through conservation, recreation, and education.
PROTECTING PLACES WHERE we WORK, PLAY, AND LEARN
Since 1995, PPLT has secured permanent protection for 20,000 acres, built the best trail system in Montana, and opened four community parks. We’ve learned that what’s good for wildlife and ranching is good for all of us. Your gift will build a healthy future for our community.
I want to give back to the place I love
The trails have provided me with so much peace, laughter, burned calories and friend bonding! Thank you for giving Helenans these wonderful spaces in which to recreate and relax.
Diedre Turner
I support PPLT to keep open spaces open for now and into the future.
Les Clark
There is nothing more important than preserving our natural lands. The trails PPLT has made for the public are unbelievable.

MONTANA IS AT A CROSSROADS
Loved to Death
Outdoor recreation and tourism support Montana’s economy and create jobs. They also strain limited resources, impact wildlife and ecosystems, and drive conflict over public access.
Population Boom
Montana is one of the fastest-growing states in the country. The influx of new residents to urban and rural areas means it’s now or never for conservation.
Family Farms in Crisis
Farming and ranching are Montana’s heritage, but skyrocketing land prices, drought, and economics continue to put the squeeze on the family farms and ranches.
Global Change
Global change has impacted Montana’s climate, increasing wildfires, prolonging drought, and impacting native species.

When you donate real estate, 100% of its value benefits Prickly Pear Land Trust since no capital gains will be assessed, while you receive an income tax deduction and avoid estate taxes. Personal property like vehicles, farm equipment, and works of art can also contribute to our mission.
