This trail traverses the east flank of Mount Ascension and connects Jefferson County to Mount Ascension City Park. It features beautiful wooded areas and dramatic cliffs. Stop beneath a twisted Ponderosa to admire the plaque that honors Eddye McClure and Mignon Waterman, friends of Prickly Pear Land Trust who helped develop the trail. Three trail easements protect the entirety of this trail as it crosses private land, so please be sure to stay on the trail.
