Locals who want a long adventure like to combine Mt. Helena Ridge Trail with the Wakina Sky area. From Dump Gulch Trailhead, climb McKelvey Trail and South Dump Gulch Trail to the Helena Ridge Trail. Take the ridge south to Emmett’s Trail. Descend to Grizzly Gulch Drive and turn right on the road and then left on Wakina Sky – Goat Trail. Take Wakina Sky Trail and then Wakina Sky Road north to Grizzly Gulch Road and turn right to return to the trailhead.
